I've seen and handled just about every scenario you can imagine: weather changes, nervous proposers, partners who almost turned around at the wrong moment, timing that had to shift on the fly. At this point, I know how to read a situation and adapt without missing the moment. The one thing I haven't encountered yet? A "no." And I plan to keep that streak going.

Nope. You can have a general idea or no idea at all. Location is something we figure out together on the planning call, after you're booked and I've sent you the Planning Guide. I keep my best locations private and only share them with booked clients to protect the experience for everyone.

This is honestly one of my favorite things about Lake Tahoe proposal photography to explain, but I keep the method close to the chest because it only works when your partner hasn't read about it! What I will say is that in all my years of doing this, nearly every single partner is genuinely surprised, not just by the proposal but by the fact it was being photographed at all. Coordinate but don't match. Soft neutrals and muted tones photograph beautifully, as do deep jewel tones like emerald, navy, and burgundy in cooler months. Avoid anything bright or neon. The most romantic winter proposal. Tahoe had the biggest winter storm of the season, and this proposal just so happened to be right after.

One of the most photographed places in the United States, is Emerald Bay and it is the perfect location for proposing.
