Heavenly Wedding Venue, South Lake Tahoe

This wedding venue to located in South Lake Tahoe, right on the border of California and Nevada. This wedding venue is owned by the Ski resort Heavenly. Lakeview Lodge is 8,200 feet up in the mountains, surrounded by evergreen trees. You’ll have unforgettable panoramic views of Lake Tahoe there.

To get here, you’ll have a five-minute ride on the historic aerial tram up the Sierra Nevada mountains to access the Lakeview Lodge. If you want to get married at this location, keep in mind that Lakeview Lodge is only available from June through late September. The ceremony location is outdoors, overlooking Lake Tahoe’s blue waters. And the the reception space is a two-tiered dining room. In the case that the weather is not wedding-friendly, the reception space serves as a ceremony backup (Always have a rainy ceremony back-up space!). 

With so much nature surrounding, it is fairly easy to have a great backdrop for family portraits and group photographs. But the best is, as the sun sets behind Mt. Tallac, its the perfect time for portraits of the wedding couple. There is an outdoor deck from the reception room, which provides a great view of the sunset for the guests.

Since the Lakeview lodge is secluded, there is no noise ordinance. So this is a perfect venue for the party crowd without having to worry about getting any complaints.
