With a ceremony on top of a mountain overlooking Lake Tahoe, it couldn't have been a more pretty view. Who wouldn't want to get married at the top of Heavenly with a view of all of Lake Tahoe? This definitely called for me to bring out my pink drone and capture all the beauty! Her ceremony included the CUTEST ring security with a skit to mission impossible.
Ten minutes away from ceremony time which is outside... it's sideways pouring rain. A quick decision was made to move the ceremony inside as the rain continued to get heavier. While everyone was pushing the reception tables around and setting the ceremony up inside, I immediately looked at Katie to see how she was handling it
Something that happens in Sand Harbor over winter is a horse carriage ride. Towards the end of the shoot I noticed that the horses were being loaded up to go home. So I walked over and asked if I could borrow a horse for a few shots. They were hesitant, but agreed (people are a lot nicer when they think you are getting married)! We only had a few minutes with the horse and he did not want to cooperate. But of course I managed to get at least one image with him.
One of the best things about Vanessa and Keith is how relaxed they were the entire day. Before the ceremony, Vanessa actually got a Jack n the Box burger! What other bride would eat a burger on the wedding day? YOU GO GIRL! Who wants to be hungry at their own wedding anyways? Eat something scrumptious!
