Destination Wedding in Lake Tahoe | Matt + Melody

I finally have time to blog this lovely Tahoe wedding! Melody and Matt decided to have a small destination wedding in South Lake Tahoe but still have coverage of all the important things of their day.

With a ceremony on top of a mountain overlooking Lake Tahoe, it couldn't have been a more pretty view. Who wouldn't want to get married at the top of Heavenly with a view of all of Lake Tahoe? This definitely called for me to bring out my pink drone and capture all the beauty! Her ceremony included the CUTEST ring security with a skit to mission impossible.

Lake Tahoe, Winter Wedding: Ridge Resort

Winter is not my favorite season but any place looks extremely dreamy with the snow covering everywhere. Lake Tahoe is already such a beautiful location for a wedding but with the pine trees and mountains dusted with snow, is an entirely new level of beautiful.

Every wedding I photograph in Lake Tahoe is special in a different way. This specific one was filled with flowers of pinks, purples, and burgundy. Along with the flowers, the views from the Ridge are just beautiful. Of course, there's a lot of the huge lush pine trees.

Ten minutes away from ceremony time which is outside... it's sideways pouring rain. A quick decision was made to move the ceremony inside as the rain continued to get heavier. While everyone was pushing the reception tables around and setting the ceremony up inside,  I immediately looked at Katie to see how she was handling it

Winter Bridal Styled Shoot - Sand Harbor, South Lake Tahoe

Something that happens in Sand Harbor over winter is a horse carriage ride. Towards the end of the shoot I noticed that the horses were being loaded up to go home. So I walked over and asked if I could borrow a horse for a few shots. They were hesitant, but agreed  (people are a lot nicer when they think you are getting married)! We only had a few minutes with the horse and he did not want to cooperate. But of course I managed to get at least one image with him.
