Okay, technically the golden rule for a photographer is to write a blog post a week. Obviously, I haven't followed that because it's been about a year since I posted a blog post.
ANYWAYS... I couldn't, not share this beautiful rainy, sunshine and rainbow filled wedding!!
Ten minutes away from ceremony time which is outside... it's sideways pouring rain. A quick decision was made to move the ceremony inside as the rain continued to get heavier. While everyone was pushing the reception tables around and setting the ceremony up inside, I immediately looked at Katie to see how she was handling it. Pretty much any bride would be freaking out but not Katie!! Katie was calm, and the weather seemed like it had zero effect on her, a smile remained on her face, and she was ready to get married! (No matter what the weather is, you're still marrying the love of your life. So you can either accept it and make the best of it or... remember how you let rain ruined your day).
After the ceremony, the rain stopped, and it was perfect to go back outside to finish photos. We selected a spot for pictures out on the golf course, then right as we were about to start family photos a rainbow appeared right behind the place we set chosen. I couldn't pass that up and shot a few photos of just Katie and Zach with the rainbow behind them. They say rain is good luck on your wedding day! Since I photographed Katie and Zach's engagement photos, they knew exactly how to get into their poses and work it! They were drop-dead gorgeous (and handsome, if that's a more masculine adjective for you Zach!)
Katie and Zach got married at Toiyabe Golf Club in Reno; the venue is beautiful with the mountains and trees as the backdrop. Their wedding was awesome, full of great people and lots fun.
