Rainy but amazing maternity session in Los Osos
Leanna and Travis are going to be amazing parents to a beautiful baby girl. I had so much fun photographing these two before they officially become a family a three. We started the session in the Los Osos Oaks Reserve. As we were driving there it started to rain harder. Out of the very few days that it rains in California, that was one of the days it had to rain. But we didn’t care; the photo session must go on! Photos in rain are actually beautiful! We walked into the oaks with umbrellas, cameras and pumpkins. We passed a guy that was walking to his car; he was very interested in what we were doing! With Leanna being 9 months pregnant she was a trooper, wearing cute heeled booties walking while walking off trail into the trees! She makes it look so easy. While under the trees we were pretty sheltered from the light rain and winds. The lighting was absolutely gorgeous, and the contrast between Leanna’s newly done red hair with her maroon dress against the green trees was stunning!
With their due date being on Halloween, we had to incorporate pumpkins in their photos! They are such a fun couple; we had some good laughs during pictures but I was still able to capture some sweet and intimate moments between the two of them.
They had a quick change and we headed up to the Spooner’s Cove in Montana De Oro state park. There was a reason we were the only ones there, because the winds were horrific! Leanna was now it a strapless maxi dress and barefoot. We made our way down to the shore with towels wrapped around us, I made it quick so I wouldn’t freeze her all of us. But the five minutes we spent shivering and windblown was so worth these breathtaking photos, they definitely complete their photo session.
I can’t wait for baby Olive to arrive so I can meet her!
